Yeah, finally waited so long to have a gymkhana event in northern region! My first and last gymkhana was like 2 years+ back when I enter with my Pug 206 in Sunway Carnival Mall open carpark. After all that, GRA seems to be holding all their GRA gymkhana events in KL only… As an Islander, I seldom go to the mainland as I can get everything I need in Penang Island unless special incident or friends invitations only I will drive there.
Driving from Penang to KL are crucial, having to drive all the way might took me 4hrs+ with safety speed limits in tack, and after that I have to prep myself for the competition of time, after my competition I still have to drive all way back up to Penang Island for maybe another 5hrs+, that took me like nearly 10hrs just hitting the road thru & flow, OMFG!
I still believe that northern region have their crowd, racing enthusiasm or gymkhana passionate people. Just that they have the mis-conception of motor-sports racing is dangerous, costly and can only be done by professionals.
There is a car club here in Penang I wouldn’t mention the name, they had quite numbers of good quality japanese cars, they are quite young in age and gymkhana potential (from my point of view), better automotive knowledge than me obviously. But WTHell, they wouldn’t even thought of entering a proper gymkhana event all they did was parking their car beside the event for autoshow purposes, I was thinking “what a waste”…good car, good mods, deep pockets…Sigh…
I’m really thankful for BadboyBen & VictorGR aka DoriftoNeko for their effort of bringing Motorsport to Northern Region! I believe this Conemasters X Meanmachines Gymkhana Challenge is gonna be a great one!

I sold my Peugeot 206 for a red 30yr old Toyota Corolla KE70 to take my motorsport passion to another level, alot alot of people been asking me “Are you out of your mind?” “The hell are you thinking?” “Why do you wanna change a car like that?” Yeah, driving a comfy continental car might be somebody’s dream, but not for me. I wanted a little more out of my daily driving machine, it has to be RWD, alot of aftermarket parts, eye-catching!
Just learnt how to do a proper 1.5 round donut yesterday, the feeling is super! Thanks to Victor Bro for the coaching! More to come with my baby KE70^^
